Hello Fellow Spotters, The National Weather Service has informed Metro Skywarn that there will be morning rain. And for you amateur radio operators doing Field Day, there is a possibility of some lightning for the Metro Skywarn Coverage area with the morning storms. So please be safe with you antenna's and radio equipment. The Morning storms will NOT be severe, just winds gusting 30-40 mph with the potential for 50 mph AFTER the morning storms pass through. Please remember wind speeds need to be measured with a calibrated anemometer. Later this evening, there may be an isolated storm or two later today, but nothing severe like I-90 is having this morning. Metro Skywarn will be monitoring the Minneapolis repeater 146.700 - PL 127.3 if you have any reports to make this morning.
